Though he is virtually unknown in the United States, Chris Andrews had a fair amount of success in the UK in the mid-1960s as both a performer and a songwriter for other acts.

1978 Norman had his first solo hit with "Stumblin' In", 1984 followed "Love Is A Battlefield" (Pat Benatar released this hit at the same time). 1986 finally his breakthrough with the "Tatort" title-song "Midnight Lady".

Known for such hits as "Just To Be Close To You," "Easy" and "Brickhouse", to name a few, the Commodores were one of the top bands during their long tenure at Motown. The group is credited with 7 no. 1 songs and a host of other Top 10 numbers on the Billboard charts.

In December 1993 the first song "The Rythm Of The Night" was released on the DWA Records label all over the world and climbed charts everywhere.

Crystal Waters had one of 1991's surprise left-field hits with "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)". The song had both a potent message and wonderful vocal that smartly mixed anger, irony, and humour.

How often have we all danced to tracks like "Mr. Vain", "Anything" or "Got To Get It" by Culture Beat? Culture Beat's claim to fame is closely connected with the history of German dance music.

In the early and mid-sixties some excellent musicians and groups emerged from the Pub-Club scene and changed the whole music business around. Demis Roussos first solo album, "On The Greek Side Of My Mind" was released in November 1971. His third single "My Reason" became a worldwide hit in the summer of 1972. Demis owed his popularity mainly to his live performances, which earned him an unbelievable number of fans.

As the "voice" behind a decade of classic tunes written with her in mind by the famed team of Burt Bacharach & Hal David, Dionne Warwick established herself as an international superstar in the 1960s and through an incredible body of recorded work that now stretches to over 40 albums.

Dance Avec Moi was Dj Tyson's final break through. This single was Top 10 almost all over Europe. Songs as Discover the world, The Daydream and the burner Acid Folk 2000 followed.

Together with Denniz and Rap-Queen Leila K: his first record, "Hello Afrika" - his declaration of love for his African home - broke all records. Alban Nwapa became Dr. Alban - a superstar.

Earth, Wind & Fire was one of the most musically accomplished, critically acclaimed, and commercially popular funk bands of the 1970s.

The group have achieved eighteen Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums, and were one of the UK's most popular boy bands during the early to mid-1990s.

Emilia Rydberg has sold over 4.5 million albums! As you might guess, thanks to the song "Big Big World", that became a international hit in 1999.

En Vogue's debut album, "Born To Sing", appeared in 1990 and launched the pop crossover smash "Hold On", which peaked at number two and helped the album go platinum.

In 1964, four schoolboys decided to form a band, the outcome of that youthful decision led to the birth and eventual success of one of Europe's most successful bands... The Equals.

Precious Wilson has one quality that stands out above the rest and that's her determination to succeed. She is not a newcomer to the business or the charts. Her first big break came with her band Eruption when they entered and won an "RCA Soul Search Contest" in 1975.

Evelyn Thomas (b. 22 August 1953) is best known for her song “High Energy”, which hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1984.
